My artistic abilities have noticeably improved since I first joined deviantART, and I have slowly but surely found my way to my own style.  I've been thinking about it for quite a while, and I have decided to move to a new account and get a sort of fresh start.

I will still keep all of my art up on this account, but all new art will be submitted to .  I've already submitted one piece of work so that the gallery is not totally empty.  

So, if you still wish to watch my work then add my new account.  (*hinthint*)

Okay, so I got engaged to my high school sweetheart last year on New Year's.  Well, after almost two years, we've finally set a date!  September 17; and yes, this September!  I've been thinking about it for the past few months, and I realized that I don't need a big fancy ceremony to be happy with him.  So, we've decided to just have a little courthouse wedding.  And I've found that I actually like this idea much more than a big wedding for a number of reasons.  :3

It'll be quick and cheap, and I'll be able to buy a dress that I can wear more than once.  And his grandparents are going to have a little reception at their house, and they're paying for it!
My mom, though, isn't so thrilled about the idea of a courthouse wedding.  She has this idea that, because it's the biggest day of my life, everything about it has to be big.  She's actually trying to change it.  :/  And she forced me to go look at wedding dresses with her.  Worst experience ever.

Anyway, I am so excited to finally be getting this done!  We've pretty much planned on getting married since our junior year of high school, and it's finally happening!  Oh, I can't wait!

Okay, as I stated in the comments of my last picture, I very much dislike the black backgrounds I get when I have a transparent background on my art.  I get it with my .png files, but not with .gif.  But I've seen people who have transparent backgrounds on .png files and they didn't get the big black block!  D:

So my question to you guys is this:  How do I avoid the ugly black backgrounds?  I'd really love for the preview to look just as the actual image does.  Especially with my last chibi!  The black background was in blocks for some odd reason and made this big blue spot show up that isn't even on the actual image!  It actually really upsets me when this happens.  

So please, if you know how to get rid of the black background, let me know!

Like many other deviants here, I would love nothing more than to have premium membership.

Unfortunately, I cannot afford to pay for it.  So, as much as I loathe asking for things, I would very much appreciate point donations.

Of course, those donations would not go unrewarded!  I've spent quite some time thinking about how much points are worth and I think I've come to a pretty fair conclusion.

1-10 points = 1 llama
11-25 points = 1 fav
26-40 points = 1 llama + 1 fav
41-60 points = 1 chibi of your original character
61-100 points = 1 chibi of your original character + 1 llama
100+ points = 1 chibi OR 1 original Merr piece with a theme of your choice + 1 llama

Anyone else a little tired of this whole "bento bunny" thing?  I mean, honestly, no one has a right to get all pissy over it.

While I don't believe that the bento bunny item on Gaia was stolen from QoD, as an artist I believe that if someone feels their art has been stolen they have the right to do something about it.  There is no reason to get angry towards Gaia because their bento bunny is clearly different from QoD's.  But no one has the right to get angry with QoD either.  Anyone would get angry if their art was stolen and used to make money.

I was reading over some of the comments on her journal entry about the whole thing, and it's unbelievable how bad some people are treating her!  So she doesn't really have claim over the whole idea, but the styles are a bit similar.  If she feels that Gaia has stolen her art, let her be!  It's just a damn pixel anyway!  It's not like anyone needs it.  :/
If you want a pixel bento bunny so bad, make one yourself.

At the same time, it's also annoying to read the comments saying, "omg, i cant believe gaia stole ur bunnyz!"  Please compare the two side-by-side.  Gaia's bento bunny has an orange tail; QoD's does not.  QoD's bunny has blush; Gaia's does not.  So what, the styles look similar.  Well, that is a very generic style.  I could go on google right now and probably pull up 50 different pictures by 50 different artists that have a similar style.

I'm not taking anyone's side because, in my opinion, either way it's not right.  All I'm saying is people need to drop it.  It's not that big of a deal.  Geez.  :/
